So the beginning and burning of Burning Man is near, so to speak. I'm headed out west later today en route to the most psychedelic city on the planet--Black Rock City, NV. This ephemeral, manifested dream city comes into existence in the Nevada desert for one brief week and then explodes, magically vanishing in flames like the desert mirage it always appeared to be. No trace is left behind as the mass exodus explodes outward. Not a single bicycle, tent, plastic bottle, feather or speck of glitter will be left behind. This imaginary desert city will be be left as if nothing ever happened there. Although, every burner who attended will know more happenings occurred in that single window week of time than happens in an equally populated city in the span of a decade. The birth and death of a civilization accelerated to the speed of a week. Imagine.
